Both fully charged and locked onto one TG, the G5 lasted 20.5 hours, while the SDS lasted 8 hours. G5 screen timeout set to 45 seconds and SDS100 set to 10 seconds. The marine case is touted as being waterproof/resistant so Uniden kept the moisture resistant feature and advertised it as a plus for the SDS100. If that works, then there may be a problem with the Uniden BC-UTGC cable. That's the weird thing, I unplugged the SDS100 and used the new cable instead of the one that came with the SDS100. I've never had the computer try to install a new driver in the many times I've disconnected the scanner and reconnected it, (except on the original install).. Lock360
